|
|
Hello Friends,
This is as good a place as any, to introduce new equipment offered or new innovations, things that will be on display or you might want to incorporate in your design...
Not finished or cleaned up yet, but here are some more pictures of goodies and innovation to debut: A new level of luxury and innovations...
Here is a little one to whet your appetite: New Next G antennae mount on Wineguard works well, and folds down flat when not needed...
Blaupunkt Quad Stereo speakers inside, JBL on Leads outside fixed to van or mobile...
A dishwasher, high pressure, 5 place setting, runs on 19 litres of water..
Extra sized window around bunks in the back....
High grade TV- Satellite Setup, and more...
LED lights in Cargo Hold, touch switch.. Shown here with water Sterilization system and high pressure pump in cargo locker.
New Cassette Loo, Cannister, but also a China Bowl..
A new power motorized Skylight hatch, touch switch, and better blinds system..
Heavy Girder strap under a-frame for towing with trucks:
Water Tank Selector System by the door.....
BBQ and Extra Large Cargo Holds side by side...
New spring loaded closure catches added for travel on the corrugation.
**********************************************************
Here are the details on another one. We have a new forced air diesel heater that has this option, a heated towel rail combined outlet. There are air slots in the bottom of the rails for forced air heat down the towel to dry it.....
Slots in the Bottom of the rails forced air heating down the towel...
And adjustable venting below....
It this COOL OR WHAT??? And then I had to mess with it, as the design calls for it near the floor...
I put mine up by the window, for added drying when the heater was not in use!!
*****************************************************
Here is another one: I am quite impressed with this Safe. The big clunky steel ones we have been putting in, are bulky and heavy, and hard to hide. In contrast this is light and easy to conceal somewhere. At the Brisbane Show I saw one bashed with a medium sized ball peen hammer something like 100 times, and it had only deformed and did not fractured. The beauty of it is that the lock engagement point is actually concealed underneath where the unit slides into the "Docking Station". It then is turned over after coming out of the Docking Station and the lid hinges up to access the interior.
Now being slim, you could hide it somewhere bolted down where it is unlikely to be found. For an additional $45 or so, you can get another "Docking Station" to put in your tow vehicle, to hold keys and cash and documents and the like when you leave the van behind..
I am quite pleased with the product design and quality. I think we are going to offer it for something like $350 Installed, depending on the location to fix it in of course..
The "Docking Station" can be attached overhead or on the bottom or on the side of hidden area like behind the stove or sink or somewhere out of sight. The key is like a Safe Deposit key and the unit slides out of the Docking Station when unlocked....
Here is what HIDE-AWAY SAFES states as the Government Rating:
*************************************************************
I'm sure your discerning clients will love the HideAwaySafe concept as they obviously love yours.
Maybe a couple of points that your clients may appreciate knowing:
• Both size HideAwaySafe's are SCEC endorsed upto top secret by the Australian Federal Government and military for government and military use.
o Whilst this 'SCEC Endorsement Level' may not necessarily be a pre-requisite for their purchase, it does show the level of proficiency that the Australian made Hide Away Safe is held in by the Commonwealth Government and the Military.
• Every Police force in Australia use the HideAwaySafe for weapon protection in their vehicles.
• Data on laptops and other (data) media such as cameras and IPods can be lost should the temperature in vehicles climb between 40 & 70 celcius - which on a day of 38 degrees isn't hard if the vehicle is locked up in the sun.
o The polycarb material which the HideAwaySafe is constructed is not only very, very tough but also very insulative as well. A laptop placed in our laptop bag and in our laptop safe is guaranteed not to increase by more than 1 degree - regardless of the temperature within the vehicle - this is very important for all travellers to know - as a great percentage are now carrying this sort of accessory with them.
*************************************************************
Here is another one, a clip on table on the side of the van with Tassie Oak trip...
This is a picture of it on my own van, down at the NRHA Nationals, next to the BBQ. I tried it, and I LOVE IT...!
Here is a picture of my Daughter removing it, and showing the Polished Tassie Oak folding legs.... It measure about 730 x 300, a good average size for BBQ or Buffet or Coffee, or Wine Tasting..
It clips on the same way as the CAFE DINING, so you could actually use it on the inside of the van as well, like a coffee table. Simple to clip on, and easy and light to store...
Legs fold flat, and it does not weigh much, and stores away with your folding chairs quite nicely...
It was an idea for LIFESTYLE that I though you might like. This unit looks nice and works well and can interchange out on the same track as the Cafe Dining Table on the inside..
We have a collection of Laminex and Formica and Wilson Art, and if there are enough of you interested we can make up a dozen you can pick through... Say, on your way past Bushtracker. We cannot do a pattern match to your van, but you could pick through a dozen and get something you liked and could live with. Trim and legs in Tassie oak, piano hinged, and quite nice..
Kind Regards from the lone Ranger...
When I see something this good, that solves a issue raised by some of you, I will put it in this Topic. ... Kind Regards, stg

I have some real beauties coming next year, but here is a new twist on the fancy solid benchtops in hardwood... Mine are colour matched in Tassie Oak and a clear finish that looks like a two pack coating:
As opposed to this, in more contrasting wood, tiger stripe, and DGI Oil finish of one going out today:
And the question would be coming: "What is under the big hinged countertop, a freezer?" A Washing Machine...
Now the colors are not quite right do to the glare from open windows in bright sunshine, so I am pulling the blind on this section.. This is a better color match..
Now I am not saying to go this way, or you should go this way, it is expensive.. I am only showing you the possibilities of my innovative R&D.
More serious goodies coming soon in the Owners Section...
Regards, stg |

Well, Progress and Father Time both keep marching along...
Here is the first Bushtracker with 200 Series Factory Wheels on the van matching the tow vehicle.
These were supplied by the Owner, Original 200 Series Wheels and Tyres, I don't even want to know what they cost, Toyota Mags and Grandtrek tyres, it would have to be $1000 a wheel. Maybe more...
I am by no means suggesting anyone else go to this expense, just showing you what is possible for the fun of the designs, OK? This is the first van I have seen with Factory 200 Series Mags. Now that is more expense as well, in weight of about 35 kg and about 5 kg more in the wheel carriers. And more expense in $$ at about $700 for the set of 65mm off-set spiders. But it can be done. Myself, I think I would just carry a tyre repair kit or get the extra spare carrier for the Cruiser, or carry an extra spare for the Cruiser as one of the two spares on the front of the Bushtracker.. Each choice has its own pros and cons.
Money not an issue this is just one of the ways to tackle the problem, and no doubt the most expensive, but probably also the nicest in use and most convenient.
Kind regards from the road Ranger...

Well here is the latest, we are getting the first of a few hundred of these made, on leather, with the Bushtracker logo...
I know the first question will be Cost? The answer is minimum order of $100,000 for a pair...
*************************************************************
Of course you will get a free Bushtracker with the Order... These will suit the two sets of keys that come with the Bushtracker...
There are of course many innovations going on all the time, in our R&D section of the Owners Forum to keep them to ourselves for a bit... |

New Lightweight Annex,
Here we go, and we will stock this: It includes micro mesh mozzie protection, and closure flaps. Also front door and rear door, both with micro mesh, snaps, windskirt, and tracks on sides kit. It has been designed exclusively for Bushtracker, to fit the Aussie Traveller awning which is the one that stands the highest winds of any awning built.
This is what it looks like, and we plan to stock all the common sizes:
Contact us through regular channels when it is time to Order... Cheers, |

Look, in all fairness I think this is unnecessary, but we do a lot things like this, against our advice, just because the Owners want it.. I think it is expensive and a bit unnecessary, with a kitchen right there, but it is a sample of what we can do in real Custom Building...
I certainly would not suggest that it be done to replace the interior kitchen. And for those of you that would argue I will eliminate the one inside, again I would say "I don't think so... What about the too hot to cook outside time, too cold, windy, dust storm, rain-sleet-snow, flies, mozzies, there are just times when you want to be comfortable cooking inside your van." This is just a sample of what I mean when we say "Full Custom Builders"...
The Bushtracker Slide Out Kitchen..
This actually a cover that has its own slide rails, and it becomes a stainless bench and table...
Glass Lids close, and the stainless bench slides in over the top..
The the whole thing slides into a hatch like for a BBQ...
This unit is custom made and very expensive, and quite frankly I cannot justify the costs.... But I get requests for it once a month, so here it is..
I will put this here, but as a matter of interest only to the General Public.. A copy will be in the R&D Category in the Owners Section, but questions and comments will be addressed there for Owners in planning..
Kind Regards from the lone Ranger.. |

Being full Custom Builders, we have the opportunity to put your personal touches on your Bushtracker.
We have a half dozen styles of cabinet doors, in solid Tassie Oak, not the cheap panel insert into fake wood border, but the real thing. Besides that level of quality, dovetailed drawers and so on, we can add a personal touch. One Owner had his lounge done in leather from his prize Bull off his Station, and had the brand showing in a prominent location. It was his way of remembrance. Another was done in the 100 year old Cypress of his Grandfathers barn..
And here is the latest, the main Salon table done in Queensland Maple off his property:
Lovely touches, home away from home, in their Bushtracker Vacation Home.. |

I like the look of the solid Tassie Oak table, would the twin legs work just as well with "Adjusta" offset support legs for ease of access??

Hello John,
In general, not speaking of that exact mount; but we shy away from that kind of "adustable" swinging/moving equipment . The suspended weight wears and shakes gear like that to pieces on the more severe Outback corrugation.. Lock pins elongate holes, lock screw knobs back out, and the ensuing pendulum and centrifigal motion self destructs.
It is typical of the kind of gear that looks cute at the Shows, and may hold together on the roads, but could end up in a heap of scarred floor and smashed table in off-road conditions... We will do it, but not with any Warranty off road. In develpment of your layout, there are other options to consider when you are here, tailor sized tables to your build, and so on..
There are other table mounts that do not have the pedalstal base as shown and recess into the floor, but everything has advantages and disadvantages. In the case of the recessed floor mounts, it does not go well over water tanks, and that van had 7 from memory.
Cheers |

Now here is another cool FIRST. A fully automated motorized awning: In all fairness, unless you are just a gadget person, this is more for people that are physically impaired like cannot reach over their shoulder or something... But it is neat, and has proven fairly reliable.
Going shut on its own...... Going.... Going....
Gone and done, clean and neat... For someone that had a bit of physical difficulty, or just plain lazy like me and like toys... For wind it goes in, when I come back it goes out, all motorized and FUN TO PLAY WITH...!!!

Some more innovations in equipment for fun...
Here is a Dishwasher for 5 settings, on 19 litres cycle, I will show a picture of it loaded later...
Forced air Diesel Heater, Digital control, programmable.. Another one near the bed... And the power awning switch by it, both by the door..
Here is a new snap pressure fittings systems, for 7 non-potable water tanks, all pressure filling with the heavy polyethylene tanks we have designed...
This is what the tanks look like installed, and interlocking...
More as I have time.... |

The last three Posts show some of these New Innovations that are being put into Production... For those of you Ordering and in the Production Schedule, please follow this in the TIPS ON DESIGNING YOUR NEW BUSHTRACKER in the Owners Category. We will have updates on what gear is available and any pros and cons; as well as any cost savings or extra expence.
Some of this you can change over to in process.. Stay tuned, more coming from dat crazy lone Ranger... Here is what camp looks like out roughing it with the horses:
And look, for you that need to say in touch, being gone out Bush half the time like me is not really out of touch... I am getting Austar TV, I just unplug the black box at home, and have another set of hook up wires sitting in the van, and my Satellite Dish gives me Austar out Bush!! And the Wineguard is up with my Next G antennae on it, so vertical that I get three bars of signal strength past woop woop, where even my phone is out half the time....
I have the Internet and SKYPE Voice over Internet Protocol, out where my Optus phone is out half the time.. For more info, talk to us at the Bushtracker Email..
Regards, Ranger |

Hello Friends,
This is something we tried, to make things a bit neater and tidier on the annex side of the van.. Fiberglassed, double power point, external speaker option, TV Plug in, and TV mount...
This is a bit expensive, something over $500 for the structure, box, and hatch, plus what ever Sound In Motion equipment you put in... While I think it is a bit expensive of an option, we had the request and built it. Here is what it looks like:
Another nice feature we offer, one of many, you get to choose and build the best!
Regards, lone Ranger in Tamworth.... |

This whole Thread and a half a dozen previous Posts here, have been modified to combine a few different Threads on a few of the new innovations. This is part of our Pruning process to combine and delete obsolete posts, saving some important parts to update the Forum.
***********************************************************
Here is one, "Pressure Filling" of the water tanks, incorporating a reverse system for town water hookup at the same point if you want it.. Available in July as we get stock in...
This one above is for the non-potable system, and up on the a-frame, and it is two way as it can be valved for delivery of water as well...
This one is behind the spare wheel, so you can not get them mixed up, and it will be for potable, drinking water pressure fill...
And here above is TWO Thermostat controls, a Duplex Hot water Service for GAS and 240V, and you can run them both together for very fast recovery...
Good fun Huh? Regards, stg |

Here is the biggest, the best, and probably the most profound and long reaching new Innovation to be added to the Bushtracker so far this year:
I am today, after a couple of months of testing, releasing a new air conditioning unit as Standard Equipment. There will be some addition R&D Posting on this new unit in the Owners Section, but I am happy to disclose that in the R&D Category we will post a video link of its testing on a $30,000 "shaker machine" that mimicks the corrugation, as well as some more Propietary information.
It has many features that make it attractive, but I credit Dometic that while their air conditioning unit was already the most robust of the big three in the Outback corrugation, they have continued to improve their Product: Hence the release of this new unit. Besides the new more robust gas line and structure Engineering there are a couple of notable improvements:
1) I think the unit is more attractive on the inside with the air intake wings...
2) It comes complete with a remote control of all things... Now don't laugh, I know myself in living with the Bushtracker, often I have set the AC too hot or too cold and get up in the middle of the night to change it...
3) The controls and lights are more attractive and User Friendly..
4) It is definitely quieter.
5) Optional night lights built in...
Owners or those in Production: Please do not field any questions here. Ask your questions in the Release of Engineering tests and video link and Proprietary information disclosure in the R&D Category in the Owners Section please... All a continuing Service to Bushtracker Owners...
This, while a little more expensive, is Free of Charge now Standard Equipment courtesy of the lone Ranger... |

Hi Steve,
This looks like an optimum location for an external Next G antenna with the advantage of folding down flush to the roof when travelling.
Is the antenna in the photo a standard 7dbi omni directional bullbar fitment without the spring mount? Or is the one in the photo a lighter weight version, most of the fibreglass bullbar mounting antenna are 1.2kg or heavier.
Cheers, Les. |

Les, it is a lightweight Laser Antennae...
Sound in Motion in Nambour sells them, you can get the specifications from them, but there is a Topic on this antennae on the Forum, and from memory it has the specifications...
Use the Search Engine, type in Next G Antennae and "search for all words" and then hit SEARCH. You should find it.... OK with that? |

We now have an improved Bushtracker Key Chain...
The old one was cool:
But the engraved plate eventually comes away from the leather. I have a dozen or so of the old style, if any of you that call in would like one.
We now have an updated improved model that swivels and is quite ROBUST on a nice metal bezel:
And it swivels....
The price on the new ones is still the same. They are $100,000 a pair, but they do come with a new Bushtracker |
